South African Tourism has entered into a mutually beneficial relationships with travels and tours agencies in Nigeria.
Mohammed Tanko Kwajaffa, Trade Relations Manager for South African Tourism, SAT, West Africa, in an exclusive interview with LEADERSHIP, said that the relationships deal was aimed at promoting South African preferred holiday’s destinations.
SAT has also seized the platform to reach out to consumers as well as travels and tours stakeholders who are interested in coming to South Africa.
West Africa is an independent market which means that for individual to have interest to travel, and achieve its purpose of traveling him or her will need the assistance of the travel agency in Nigeria which is National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies, NANTA, and the assistance of tour operators in Nigeria which is Nigeria Association of Tour Operators, NATOP.
NANTA and NATOP have strategically given SAT access to their members to train them, equip them, and give them as much information as possible to enter South Africa, such they can gain the guide to guard their clients in traveling to South Africa for exploration.
“We participated to big travels and tours shows that happened in the market, typically Akwaaba which has been happening in Lagos, the Weizo that came up in Ghana and the Jabama in Abuja. And that is how we have been participating in big travels and tourism shows.
“We participate to this travels and tourism shows in the market, because is the platform for us to reach out to all those who is interested in travelling to South Africa.”
We are in the partnership with Akwaaba because we have been participating consistent with Akwaaba, Weizo and the new product Jabama which is targeting the northern market”, he added.
